En nu gaan we weer aan ’t werk

Een sessie bij mij duurt gemiddeld  een uur. We lopen al een tijdje samen op. We focussen op de soft skills. Vaardigheden, gedragingen. Afstemming denken, voelen, willen en handelen. Het traject werpt z’n vruchten af. Hoe reguleer ik m’n emoties. Wat doe ik bij irritatie. Hoe zeg ik wat ik denk. Zonder uit m’n pannetje te gaan. Dat soort dingen.

Certain patterns are persistent. Formed, explainable. He’s working on breaking through. Giving them meaning in a new way. This was another session about becoming aware of the subconscious. It’s good for him. But as an entrepreneur, examining themes in the quiet doesn’t feel like work. Entrepreneurship is about focusing on the hard skills. Understanding the trade of being an entrepreneur. The real deal is and remains trading and making a profit. Go for it.

At the end of the session, he says, “And now we’re back to work.” I look at him and burst out laughing. He looks at me as if to say, “Yes, Hans, I know… this is hard work too.” But different.’
